A community can hold skills, useful goods, knowledge, land and creativity, yet struggle to connect them when every opportunity depends on scarce cash or more borrowing. Kabiru begins with a different question: what value is already here, and who needs it?
Cushioning—not replacing everyday money.
Our purpose is to build an additional route alongside the conventional economy. Recognised community contributions and available Tree credits can support eligible exchanges, so participation need not depend on a single debt-based fiat route. Cash through M-Pesa and Bank remains an option, alongside liquid iKbc, Utility iKbc and ORI.
This is a direction for community resilience, not a promise that debt, inflation or financial risk disappears. Its usefulness depends on real offerings, willing participants and the Family Tree’s current terms.

The marketplace gives the credit vision somewhere practical to lead: a participating product, a service, learning or a collaboration. liquid iKbc supports the Tree’s liquid-credit pathway; Utility iKbc connects eligible declared value with its utility-credit pathway. Their rules, availability and accepted uses are set at the Family Tree.
